Valeriu Gheorghita: Terrible Experience in Full Wave 4

Valeriu Gheorghita talks about the terrible experience of Romanians in the midst of wave 4 of Corona virus infections in Romania, the president of CNCAV asking people to do everything they can to avoid getting infected and not ending up in intensive care, where the situation is extremely dire engrave.

Valeriu Gheorghita talks below about the terrible experiences of Romanians who end up in intensive care after being infected with the Delta variant of the Coronavirus, at the moment over 90% of the ICU beds in the country are occupied, and the level of occupancy will continue to increase.

"However, let's avoid that information that is not validated or that is not sufficiently verified, precisely because people are not all able to discern what is correct and incorrect information and then our duty, as a society, is to transmit the correct information .

Also, people need to trust doctors and us, who do nothing but transmit reliable messages that show the benefits and importance of vaccination. It is a reality that surrounds us all. We see that today there are more than 200 people reported in the last 24 hours, who lost their lives due to COVID 19, something that could have been avoided. How?

By vaccination. These things are as obvious as can be. The need for vaccination is real. We don't have to go through this experience of ending up on an intensive care bed, I don't think anyone wants to feel what it means to have no air, to not be able to breathe. It's cruel! Believe me the testimonies of patients who go through this terrible experience they are eloquent and motivating enough for us all to want to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 disease.

It is a far too big impact at the national level, and then I think it belongs to our responsibility. And, in the real way, if we don't all get involved and understand that following the rules means taking care of yourself and those around you, then we won't be able to control the virus or the pandemic will pass, but with some huge losses. And these losses are actually human lives, which can be our parents, our grandparents, our brothers, our friends. That's what it's all about!"
