Romania: Critical Situation, New Restrictions Already Confirmed

Romania Critical Situation New Restrictions Confirmed

Romania has been going through, as you probably already know, a critical situation for several months now, and things went in such a wrong direction that the only solution at the moment was the preparation of a new set of restrictions that are meant to to reduce the number of new cases.

Romania has an average national incidence rate of over 9/1000 inhabitants, incredibly high, but despite all this, a national quarantine will never be imposed, although it would dramatically reduce the number of new cases, but instead the decision was made imposing the use of COVID certificates everywhere.

Romania is implementing a solution here that has been successful in other European countries, so that all Romanians who want to do certain non-essential activities will need COVID certificates attesting that they have been vaccinated, cured in the last 6 months, or tested with a negative result.

Romania adopts measures of this kind because it can no longer cope with the large number of illnesses in recent months, ending up asking for European aid for the treatment of patients admitted to ATI wards, a process that will probably continue since the number of new infections is still growth.

Romania can adopt various tougher restriction measures to control the spread of the Delta variant, but it is as clear as possible that a new national quarantine will not come, most likely not even if the Romanian Government changes, so we have no choice than to protect us.
