Klaus Iohannis: Quarantine and New RESTRICTIONS Announced for Romania

Klaus Iohannis Quarantine New RESTRICTIONS Romania

Klaus Iohannis announced this evening that the night quarantine is returning in Romania, together with new restrictions that are intended to reduce the number of new cases of Coronavirus during this period, all requiring a significant national effort on the part of the Romanians.

Klaus Iohannis also says that the green certificate will be imposed for all the activities we can do, but also that the mask will become mandatory again in all open spaces, separately from closed ones, which is necessary for the number of new cases to decrease.

  • "We discussed vaccination, schools and restrictions. I want to be clear from the start: if we want to stop the pandemic, the only solution is vaccination.
  • Vaccination stops the pandemic. I know that there are many who tell you that it is not so, but in Western Europe, where 80% have been vaccinated, the pandemic no longer has an effect.
  • We are in the midst of a pandemic, a real catastrophe has started with hundreds of deaths and thousands of infections. Dear Romanians, if you want to end this pandemic, get vaccinated, don't believe those who lie to you that it would be dangerous, the only thing that happens is that you get rid of the disease and certainly from severe forms of the disease, and we as society to get rid of this pandemic.
  • Until you convince yourself to get vaccinated, restrictions are needed.
  • Schools are strongly affected, it is obvious, by students and staff, teachers, who get sick. Normally, Monday would be a holiday for the little ones. It was decided today that this holiday should be valid not only for the primary school, but also for the gymnasium and high school, for two weeks.
  • It is regrettable, but we have to institute restrictions that come into effect from Monday. The government will decide concretely what restrictions come into force, after the experts in the matter will establish these rules and will transpose them legally.
  • Starting from Monday, the mask will become mandatory everywhere, both indoors and outdoors, and in fairs and at the cinema, and if you walk on the street, it is mandatory to wear a mask.
  • Movement will be restricted at night, with the exception of those who have been vaccinated and those who, with a work ID, have a legitimate job to solve. During the day, to most activities, access will only be allowed with the green certificate, and the unvaccinated, unfortunately, will have a lot of restrictions."
