DACIA Duster: OFFICIAL announcement, How quickly the SUV breaks down

DACIA Duster OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT Quickly Breaks the SUV

DACIA Duster is one of the most popular SUVs sold in Europe at the moment, with DACIA managing to sell over 100.000 models on the continent during 2020. TUV's annual report on the reliability of cars sold in Europe it comes with some bad news for DACIA Duster, and this is because the models sold by DACIA did not register very good results, something we have seen with other models of the company so far.

DACIA Duster, according to TUV, registers a defect rate of 11.4% after 2-3 years of use, being exceeded only by Logan, which registers one of 11.6%, both of which are much higher than the following models. DACIA Duster is also present in the classification of cars used for 4-5 years, there the defect rate is 15.9%, identical to that of the Seat Alhambra, but lower than the 5 and 6 series from BMW, which reach 16.8% .

DACIA Duster: OFFICIAL announcement, How quickly the SUV breaks down

DACIA Duster is placed 5th in the ranking of defect rates among cars 6-7 years old, here the percentage is 19.8%, from the ranking of 8-9 years old, missing the Romanian SUV. The same is true for 10-11 year old cars, but in each of the tops there is at least one Dacia model, from Logan to Dokker, the Romanian manufacturer being present with quite high defect rates on as the age of the cars increases.

DACIA Duster is still part of a category of cars where the rate of defects would be high, and this is because TUV says that in this report it encountered the lowest number of cars with problems, compared to previous reports. This report covers the period July 2020 - June 2021, and the presence of the DACIA Duster in so many positions is not something that has not been encountered in previous reports made by TUV, and of course it will not disappear.

The 2nd generation DACIA Duster has been sold in its current configuration, with some changes, for over a decade, and its replacement will only take place in 2024, so until then we will probably see enough bad positioning in the TUV tests.
