DNSC Chain image used New Cyber Attack

DNSC warns us about the fact that the image of the well-known pharmacy chain Catena is being used in a new phishing attack, so Romanians can be fooled by attackers thanks to the chain's popularity in our country.

DNSC explains below how this phishing campaign is carried out, and unfortunately a lot of people can be fooled since the Catena image is used, so you have to be very vigilant about cyber attacks of this kind in the online environment.

"For the Romanian language, press key 1! These days, an attempted #scam is circulating online that uses the image of the Catena pharmacy.

Under the heading 'Christmas Holiday', the attackers present potential victims with a questionnaire which, if they complete, they can win a prize of 2000 RON. Everything is obviously a trap set by attackers.

The first clear sign that it is a trap is the text itself, which is in English, although it is addressed to Catena customers.

A second obvious sign is the very web address that the attackers invite us to access, in order to participate in this fake contest with prizes. Attackers usually use strange domains like .top.
