The Minister of Education worked on the part of the Romanian Government's program that includes these objectives for reforming schools throughout the country, and below you can see what the current representatives of the government intend to do to improve the level of the educational system in Romania.

"Education represents the chance that each state gives itself for the future. Without education, a country cannot guarantee either health, security or prosperity. Educated Romania is indispensable for a strong and prosperous Romania.

Romania must be the country where every citizen finds the chance to fulfill their potential, starting from fair access to a quality education. However, in order for education to represent the solid foundation for a democratic and modern society, there must be a coherent vision, which brings together the solutions to the current, chronic challenges generated by the pandemic crisis, as well as the strategy for adapting to the future.

Equity – reducing gaps in the system and ensuring the chance for a quality education for children and young people from all backgrounds. Excellence – supporting and motivating excellence in the educational process. Integrity – ensuring value benchmarks and promoting ethics in education, but also in life after graduation.

Wellbeing – the holistic development of the mind-body-soul triangle, with the help of counseling and support measures. Professionalism – maintaining high standards in teacher training and, implicitly, in the education offered to pupils and students. Respect – acquiring respect for other people, institutions, environment and society, as part of training.

Flexibility – ensuring an individualized educational path for each student. Diversity – guaranteeing respect for diversity and a tolerant environment in the educational process. Transparency – using transparent assessment mechanisms and maintaining open and honest communication in the educational process. Collaboration - developing the school-society partnership and maintaining a constructive climate within the education system."
