The Minister of Education: Last Minute Decisions and Measures Imposed on Schools

The Minister of Education Last Minute Decisions Measures Imposed on Schools

The Minister of Education announced a series of last-minute decisions that the authorities were forced to take for schools all over the country, they apply right now, and this is because due to the lack of a sufficient number of saliva tests in the units of education, the authorities had to postpone the test days.

The Minister of Education says that for a limited period of time, testing will no longer be done on Mondays and Thursdays, but on Tuesdays and Fridays, and this is because during the weekend millions of new tests were distributed throughout country, but they will only be sufficient for a short period of time, until the winter vacation.

"The Ministry is not interested in any aspects related to companies supplying tests or medical materials, or other aspects related to the organization of the auction by the National Office for Centralized Purchases, nor in aspects related to the conclusion or execution of the contracts signed between the IGSU and its suppliers.

As a minister, I am only interested in the educational process being carried out in compliance with the health insurance conditions established in the decisions of the CNSU and in the Joint Order on Education and Health. As the authority that manages the education system, we have initiated all the legal steps in accordance with our attributions, and we have officially addressed the IGSU and we are waiting for the answer.

Considering that the most recent batch of purchased tests was distributed to educational units during this day and this night, due to delays in the delivery of materials, it was decided to temporarily change the days for the week of December 13-17 in which the tests will be performed.

They will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays instead of Mondays and Thursdays. The leadership of the Ministry of Education is in permanent contact with that of the Department for Emergency Situations in order to find quick and efficient solutions in order to ensure the necessary materials for testing preschoolers, students and educational staff.

This testing will be done twice a week, Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday, depending on the availability of the tests.
