WhatsApp is making a secret change that will have a very big impact for a good part of the 2 billion people around the world who send and receive all kinds of messages on the messaging platform. More precisely, after analyzing the latest beta version of the application for the messaging platform, it was discovered that a new change will be launched within WhatsApp to allow the deletion of messages from chat groups, regardless of who sent them.
WhatsApp is currently working on a very important new change that will allow chat group administrators to delete any type of messages within the groups. As you can see from the image below, when a message is deleted from a group by an administrator, a message will be displayed telling people that that message was deleted by a person who decides what it happens in a group.

WhatsApp seems to use the 7-day limit for deleting messages published in chat groups, but of course this could change at any time depending on what the company wants. This means that the messages could only be deleted within a certain short period of time after publication, or even up to a much longer period, but we will learn more when this new feature is nearing its final release.
WhatsApp implements this measure a long time after the extremely serious criticisms that were formulated against it during 2020, when disinformation was distributed in large numbers through the platform. Now WhatsApp finally reacts and implements measures aimed at reducing this kind of messages that are published within the messaging platform, and this is because administrators now have the possibility to delete the messages.
