DACIA Duster is one of the most popular SUVs sold in Europe, even if it comes from a Romanian company, and new official information about it reveals how important it is in our country.
According to official data published by APIA, DACIA Duster remained the best-selling SUV in Romania in 2021, an achievement for which DACIA deserves full praise, especially since there is serious competition in our country in this segment.
At the end of 2021, DACIA Duster didn't do so well, and that's because its sales totaled only 771 units in December, down 55.9% compared to the same period last year.
The drop that Duster registered in December sales is the biggest of all the models that DACIA sells in Romania, surpassing Logan or Sandero, but despite all this, it remained the best-selling SUV model in Romania.

DACIA Duster totaled sales of 2021 units in 9045, down 7.9% compared to 2020, and despite what happened in December, the drop in sales was smaller for 2021 compared to Logan, or Sandero.
Even if the current SUV model is built on a 10-year-old platform, and the models have not been updated with too many state-of-the-art equipment, the car is still sought after by many Romanians.
In 2021, DACIA Duster was the second best-selling car in Romania, after Logan, something that of course was not easy to achieve, but the selling price for this SUV mattered the most.
If the price had been closer to that of competing models in the same range, it is very likely that the Romanian company's SUV would not have generated as many sales, but the company knew at what price to sell its models in order to have success.
DACIA Duster will have some changes in 2022 as well, but they will mainly be aesthetic, to integrate the new DACIA logo in several bodywork or interior elements.
