The Minister of Education: The New Last Minute Measures in Schools, Which Students Are Affected

The Minister of Education spoke about the new last-minute measures for schools all over Romania, they being imposed with impact for millions of students from all over Romania, and according to the Government official, the decision to impose online school will not be taken quickly, nor easily .

The Minister of Education gave a recent order in which he changed the way to go to online school, and the pressure on hospitals matters more than the cases, but the tests still remain an important point in the fight against the Coronavirus.

"Alexandru Rafila said that when there will be a problem, a major pressure on the hospitals and on the ATI departments, then this measure will also be considered, which he will discuss with us, with the ministry, of passing into online of all schools in Romania, but it's a situation we haven't reached, and I hope we won't.

I understood from the Minister of Health that everything must be related to the pressure placed on hospitals, this being one of the parameters that are taken into account for the eventuality of the school going online. The forced vacation was already given last year, with very unpleasant consequences, with the middle school and high school students starting school earlier, with the non-existent intersemester vacation. The education system has already suffered a lot.

From one week to the next, the number of tests confirmed by PCR tests has increased, 236 children identified from the early phase with the SARS-CoV-2 virus means 236 ways of transmission, multiplication, of the virus less, means 236 children who they can take an easy treatment before reaching worrying situations.

I think that the testing is good, given the fact that it has insufficient precision, that is why it is the simplest form of testing, considered non-invasive, because I remind you, last year there were 1.3 million tests with nasopharyngeal exudate which were not used because they were considered invasive

These tests were requested, then you saw that a large part of the parents, unfortunately, sold them on OLX. We don't know, we don't have control, unfortunately, as Dr. Raed Arafat also said, how they were used, and that's why really, even if I'm upset, I think that without the involvement of the teaching staff, but under their supervision, there are students who will to be tested."
