DIGI RCS & RDS is the largest Romanian telecommunications group in our country, having millions, over millions, of customers who pay for its services at the moment, and it tries to offer better services to everyone. In this idea, the people from DIGI RCS & RDS decided to continue in 2022 the process of modernizing the telecommunications networks they have throughout the country, with the exception of the 5G one, which still remains without updates for almost 2 years.
DIGI RCS & RDS recently announced that it has made improvements to all its mobile telephony infrastructure, except for the 5G one, without clearly detailing what exactly has changed, but the main idea is that it is investing. DIGI RCS & RDS boasts the fact that it offers better coverage than many people imagine, but to get to that point it had to invest hundreds, over hundreds, of millions of euros, something the whole industry knows.
DIGI RCS & RDS: Measure for MILLIONS of Customers from all over Romania
DIGI RCS & RDS is not investing in the 5G network yet because the auction for 5G frequencies has not been held, even though at the end of last year it bought some frequency blocks that will be used for this network. The auction for the main frequency blocks for the 5G networks is still being prepared at ANCOM, and DIGI RCS & RDS does not seem willing to make any move before the auction takes place, especially since they have to make large investments and avoid Huawei equipment.
DIGI RCS & RDS needs a national and high-performance 5G network, and this is because the rest of its infrastructure is deficient on the mobile internet side, the speeds offered being the lowest in all of Romania. DIGI RCS & RDS at one point had the most extensive 5G network in Romania, but of course Orange managed to catch up, and Vodafone is also investing in its network, only those from Telekom are currently waiting for the auction for 5G frequencies .
Meanwhile, DIGI RCS & RDS continues to improve the rest of its mobile telephony infrastructure in Romania because it has great success with porting, and wants to offer its customers the experiences they expect.
