Minister of Health: Last-minute measure, when the restrictions will be lifted

The Minister of Health Measures the Last Time When the Restrictions Are Lifted

The Minister of Health voted to lift the restrictions in Romania after they were imposed as part of the Coronavirus pandemic, but the authorities have already prepared measures to allow the elimination of the measures that were intended to prevent the spread of the virus throughout the country.

The Minister of Health says that the restriction measures in Romania will be lifted as soon as possible, but only if the epidemiological situation in our country allows the application of a decision of this kind, which could also generate quite a lot of controversies.

"All the restrictions imposed due to the state of alert will disappear. We will present more concrete things next week, but what we must all understand is that the lifting of restrictions is necessary for the resumption of normal economic and social activities as quickly as possible, but we must bear in mind that we cannot do this at the expense of people's health .

The restrictions will be lifted as soon as the epidemiological situation allows. Even if the number is rapidly decreasing, there are not a few cases, and we are waiting for an optimal moment when these restrictions allow the safe development of all activities, there is no point in committing to the deadline.

There is always a difference between the moment when there is the number of cases at ATI and deaths, first the number of cases increases, after which, after a certain period of time, you see the reverberation of this number of cases from ATI and the number of deaths. However, the situation in the case of deaths is also different compared to the 4th wave.

Then we even exceeded 600 deaths. We will present to the ministry on Monday the weekly situation of the evolution of the number of deaths. Anyway, the situation is completely different, and I think that the approach we had as a ministry in managing this pandemic, with access to testing, medical assistance, was the correct one.

Including keeping schools open was the balanced, rational answer for children's health, not necessarily related to COVID, but for their normal physical and mental development. I think I did the right thing, and I thank all my colleagues, including those from the Romanian Parliament, from the PSD, who were with us."
