"Sorin Mihai Cîmpeanu, Minister of Education and Anatolie Topală, Minister of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, signed today, February 11, in Chisinau, on the sidelines of the joint government meeting, in the presence of Prime Ministers Nicolae Ciucă and Natalia Gavrilița, the "Protocol of collaboration between The Ministry of Education from Romania and the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova for the period 2022 - 2026".

The protocol signed by the two ministers provides: Continuation of the scholarship program for all levels and cycles of education, for the benefit of the citizens of Romania and the Republic of Moldova and the educational units and institutions of the two countries. Annually, the Romanian Ministry of Education will grant 2.550 scholarships for pre-university and university education to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova.

Including residency, as well as 1.200 months of student mobility/internships and training internships for teachers and management staff in pre-university and university education. The Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova will annually grant 200 scholarships for university studies and 100 scholarship months for academic mobility and internships/documentation internships;

Ensuring the framework for the participation of students from the Republic of Moldova in the Olympiads and competitions organized in Romania. Encouraging the development of partnerships between pre-university education units, school inspectorates and teaching staff houses in the two countries.

During the bilateral meeting held with the Minister of Education and Research from the Republic of Moldova, the Minister of Education, Sorin Mihai Cîmpeanu, reconfirmed the full availability of cooperation with the Republic of Moldova in areas related to teacher training in the context of an accelerated digitization of educational processes, as well as in any projects developed through the Educated Romania Program.
