Minister of Health: Important Warning for Romanians and Removal of Restrictions

The Minister of Health Important Warning Romanians Removal of Restrictions

The Minister of Health sends an extremely important warning to millions of Romanians throughout the country, the official announcement from the representative of the Romanian Government telling people to continue wearing protective masks during this period.

The Minister of Health also says that the lifting of the restrictions will take place when the situation in the hospitals allows this step to be taken so that everything does not become a very serious public health problem in the near future.

"As far as the pandemic is concerned, you saw that we are on a downward trend, the hospitals have coped this time, the antiviral medication could be administered both in outpatients and in hospitals, the patients benefited from timely investigations, and from luckily, this downward trend is beginning to be reflected in the number of cases from ATI.

I would like them to give us the arguments as quickly as possible to lift most of the restrictions, and so that we can return to normal life, we all want this, especially since normal life does not only mean the mental pressure to which it was subjected the population of Romania, but also the resumption of economic and social life that can provide the conditions for the relaunch of our country.

They are working on scenarios, but if I am working on scenarios, you cannot know exactly, because if we knew exactly, we would not be working on scenarios. So, obviously together with my colleagues who are from the public health area, INSP, we are working on such scenarios, that a constant decrease not only in the number of cases, but also in those hospitalized, especially in ATI, to give us arguments for lifting the restrictions.

I don't want to commit to a deadline. The term will be generated by the way the situation evolves in the following period, and including the way in which we will behave. Next, the cautious behavior, the use of the mask, especially in closed spaces, this discussion is related to the constitutionality of an emergency ordinance, and a formal procedural problem has nothing to do with public health.

We must all be aware of limiting transmission, protecting ourselves and those close to us, and this will bring us back to normality as quickly as possible in the next period in Romania. I encourage you to continue wearing the mask until it is certain that the hospital in hospitals has returned to normal and community transmission stops in Romania."
