Minister of Education: Last Minute Measures, Absolute Reform for Schools

The Minister of Education Last Minute Measures Absolute School Reform

The Minister of Education announces an absolute reform for all schools in Romania, detailing one of the most important measures taken in recent years for millions of students, the objective being to replace classic school blackboards with completely digital ones as part of the European money offered through PNRR.

The Minister of Education says that this major digitization of schools as part of the absolute reform that the Government is preparing is one of the best changes that can be made, and based on it, children will have new opportunities to learn the subject that is taught in schools.

"I tell you that we have this opportunity through PNRR, a program in which education has 3.6 billion euros available, a program in which we signed today a ministerial order through which we want to promote an absolute reform in education, namely the abandonment of classical chalk, on the classic blackboard, and replacing it with a smart blackboard in every classroom in Romania.

We understand very well the differences in skills between teachers, especially from the perspective of digital skills. They will have to strengthen their digital skills, but as long as there is a smart board in every class, on which the teacher with the weakest digital skills will write exactly the same as he writes now with chalk, he will no longer erase with a sponge, but it will scroll screen by screen.

There is at least one advantage, what is written can be instantly transferred to the students' devices, so the students will have much clearer access to what was taught in class, whether they are students who attend the classes, or whether they are students who have not participated since various reasons in class, so it is a minimal advantage.

I am convinced that any teacher, having an autonomous smart board at his disposal, when he wants to illustrate an experiment in physics, biology, chemistry, in anything, considering such an extensive resource on the Internet, willy-nilly turn into - a learning facilitator, and you will be able to refer, at a click away, to the illustration of some experiments that are done in schools with quality infrastructure.

The students who attend will have the advantage of seeing those experiments, they will have the advantage of understanding. Moreover, from real experience, that way of teaching at the minimum will be much more attractive than it is now for many of our children, who follow the school courses."
