The European Parliament calls for tough sanctions against Russia

The European Parliament demands the application of tougher sanctions against Russia after the invasion of Ukraine, the elected Europeans voting a resolution by which they make an official request to the European Commission to put more pressure on Russia at the moment.

The European Parliament has repeatedly requested the application of tougher sanctions against Russia, and this is not the first resolution related to the war that is also at the borders of our country, so we will more than likely see others.

"The European Parliament expresses its revolt and indignation at the atrocities committed by the Russian armed forces and calls for the perpetrators of war crimes to be held accountable.

In a resolution passed by an overwhelming majority on Thursday, MEPs call for additional punitive measures, including "a total and immediate embargo on imports of oil, coal, nuclear fuel and gas from Russia."
