Raed Arafat announces the initiation of an information campaign of the Department for Emergency Situations with the idea of explaining to Romanians how the emergency system works in Romania, but also of how many structures it is composed of, in order to eliminate any kind of erroneous concepts or wrong information .
Raed Arafat says the main role of this system is to save lives, and over time both it and the system have received a lot of praise for the way it works, even with the idea of saving the lives of Romanians.
"The emergency system is a complex one, it integrates several structures, medical and non-medical.
SMURD is only a part of this system and cannot function separately from the rest of the structures.

We asked colleagues from the DSU to start an information campaign through which we want to eliminate misconceptions and wrong information about how the system works, whose main role is to save lives."
