The Special Operations Forces of the Romanian Army continue to train with NATO soldiers during this period in Romania, and this is because we are talking about an attempt to keep the soldiers prepared for any kind of events.

The Special Operations Forces of the Romanian Army will participate in an exercise in which no less than 700 Romanian soldiers will be involved, with 100 military, air and naval vehicles, another 100 soldiers from NATO countries will also be present.

For two weeks, over 700 Romanian soldiers, with about 100 land, air and naval technical means, together with about 100 foreign soldiers from allied or partner countries (Great Britain, the United States of America, Turkey and Hungary) will train based on a fictitious scenario, but adapted to possible operational threats, within operational and tactical level structures, in a multinational and inter-institutional format.

Between May 2-13, in training facilities of the Romanian Army and in areas around the towns of Târgu Mureș, Sângiorgiu de Mureș, Reghin, Lunca de Sus, Jigodin, Comănești, Mangalia, Mihail Kogălniceanu and Cincu, multinational exercises specific to the Forces will be held for Special Operations.

Exercise Trojan Footprint 22 is planned and coordinated by the United States Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR) and will provide participating units with the opportunity to test and demonstrate multi-domain tactics, techniques and procedures involving distinctive professional skill sets soldiers from the land, air and naval Special Operations Forces. Trojan Footprint 22 is running simultaneously in Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary and Romania.

The Junction Strike 22 exercise is the most important multinational and inter-institutional exercise, organized and carried out annually by the Special Operations Forces Command (CFOS) of the Romanian Army, and aims to test the level of training achieved by the management and execution personnel of the Forces structures for Special Operations under CFOS.

The exercises also aim to develop interoperability among the participating structures, through the planning and execution of specific joint missions and operations, the harmonization of work procedures in the multinational environment, all of which are aimed at increasing regional security, especially in the Black Sea area."
