New Measures Adopted for the Government's Support Program for Romania

New Measures Adopted Romania Government Support Program

Two new measures included in the Support for Romania program were officially adopted by the Romanian Government, and below you can find the official explanations.

"Two of the important measures included in the "Support for Romania" program were adopted by the Government. The financing of the two projects means 6,6 billion lei in funds that come from national and European resources.

The first of the measures aims to grant social vouchers worth 250 lei for people who need support during this difficult period. About 3 million people – pensioners, people with disabilities, low-income families and the homeless – will benefit from these vouchers every two months, money they can use to buy food or, to the extent when they want it, we can provide them with a hot meal. The total value of this program is 3,1 billion lei, and half of the money comes from European funds.

The second measure we adopted today refers to the price adjustment related to contracts with financing from non-reimbursable external funds, a tranche totaling 3,5 billion lei, through which we will continue to support the completion of certain objectives important investments and we discuss here more than 7.000 projects.

Thus, in less than a month since we approved the first tranche totaling 1,7 billion lei, we managed to secure the entire government support for investments that we proposed through this program, of approximately 5,2 billion of lions. Open construction sites with European funding will benefit from such concrete support to compensate for the difficulties generated by price increases.

The future projects, worth tens of billions of euros, that we will launch with European money will thus be able to be managed by companies prepared to face economic challenges. Romania's development depends on our ability to come up with concrete solutions to support investments."
