The Romanian Police sends all Romanians a very important warning regarding the use of electric scooters by several people, something that is not normal because a vehicle of this kind can only be used by one person.
The Romanian Police sends the message below to remind Romanians that they must use electric scooters in the way they were intended, even if not everyone acts in this way with these types of vehicles.
"The scooter is only for one person!
The ordinance defines the electric scooter as "the vehicle used for the transportation of a single person, with two or three wheels, articulated with a bar at the front used as a steering device, the maximum design speed of which is greater than 6 km/h, but does not exceed 25 km/h and which is equipped with an electric motor”… It is not a vehicle intended for the transport of two people!
By violating this rule, the risk of causing a serious accident multiplies. (It can even be for trivial reasons – bypassing a pothole, for example).
