Minister of Education: Last Hour, Digitization of Exams, Announcement Regarding Teachers' Salaries

The Minister of Education Last Time Digitization of Exams Announces Teachers' Salaries

The Minister of Education announces one of the very important changes that are being made for all schools in Romania during this period, and as you can see from the confirmation below, we are talking about the computerization of the national exams that will take place in Romania in the future.

The Minister of Education also states that there will be no layoffs in the Romanian education system, and no salary reductions, so teachers can be reassured from this point of view in the next period, which is extremely important for those who work daily in the system.

"This will involve scanning the works. We already have equipment for the exam centers in these counties. This will require a computerized distribution of the papers to the correcting teachers in a discreet manner. More precisely, evaluator 1 will not know each other and even less will not sit at the table with evaluator 2.

We hope that the relevance of the ratings will increase in this way. There will be no pressure on the evaluator, because they will no longer have a fixed place and a fixed time interval in which they will be forced to correct a large number of papers. It will be a friendlier environment in which to make these assessments.

We will be able to see to what extent we will be able to collect item data in those segments of student work that involve answering grid questions. The others - descriptive - will certainly be the subject of each teacher's assessment.

It does not exist in Education and there will be no proposals for salary reductions or staff reductions, at least while I am Minister of Education. I guarantee you this.

There are requests for salary increases. I talked with the education unions and this morning, we had a social dialogue commission. There is a common objective, that of allocating 15% of Romania's budget to Education. A quality education without financial resources does not exist. Education funding will go up, not down. The number of competent personnel will increase and not decrease."
