The European Commission will provide Ukraine with reconstruction funds, most likely, in the amount of billions, or tens of billions, of euros after the war is over, but this money will only be offered together with certain conditions regarding necessary reforms in the country, but and strengthening the fight against corruption.
The European Commission imposes conditions of this kind for any kind of state both inside the European Union and outside it, but it remains to be seen how the Ukrainians will react to this news, considering that until now they have received huge financial aid without any conditions imposed by a country.
Money from member states and international partners would be allocated under "strict conditions, such as fighting corruption and reform efforts by the Ukrainian government," according to the plan. Damage caused by the war to Ukraine is estimated at hundreds of billions of euros.
