The European Commission made an unprecedented announcement that targets all the countries of the European Union, and we are talking about a decision that will apply including in Romania, and this is because the defense capacity is being strengthened at the community level, and for this additional sums of money to all the countries that are part of the community bloc.
The European Commission says that the investments that will be made by the countries of the European Union will target both short-term protection and long-term protection, so it is definitely about serious sums of money that the defense ministers of the European Union have decided to allocate them for the defense of the Union.
The European Commission took this decision because of the war in Ukraine, and this is because Russia represents a threat to the whole world, not just to our neighboring country, so the Union must be strong enough to be able to respond properly to it threats that exist at the moment.
The European Commission allocates money to strengthen the defense at the European level, while also allocating money to Ukraine, so that the Ukrainian army can continue to fight against Russia in order to repel the attacks that the Russians continue to launch against our neighbors, threatening to go beyond them.
Our new EU defense package promises to map, coordinate and incentivize investment across the EU.
Through both short and long-term measures, the package will strengthen EU defense capabilities while enhancing the European defense industrial and technological base.#EUdefence
