The European Commission Accuses Russia of Causing a Global Food Crisis, Request for Member States

The European Commission accuses Russia of generating an increase in food prices globally, and of trying to export grain stolen from Ukraine during the war, something the Russians have not denied, but their actions generate problems for dozens of countries around the world, Unfortunately.

The European Commission asks the member countries, but also the other partners around the world, to avoid buying products stolen from Ukraine by Russia, in order not to finance the actions carried out by the aggressor country, even if the prices for these grains are lower than those common.

The European Commission has been repeating for some time the fact that Russia is generating a global food crisis due to the war in Ukraine, but also that it steals various types of food and sells them on international markets, but the measures to stop these phenomena are, for now, very limited.

"Russia is driving up food prices and trying to export looted wheat and grain. We call on all our partners to make sure that whatever they buy, they know where it comes from and don't take anything looted by the Russians in Ukraine."
