Minister of Health Last Minute Decision Measures Applied All Romania

The Minister of Health announced an extremely important decision for all of Romania with a series of measures that will apply to millions of people throughout the country, and this is because we are talking about how potassium iodide pills will be collected from pharmacies all over the country country soon.

The Minister of Health announced some time ago that he intends to officially announce how potassium iodide pills will be distributed based on a clear procedure for all Romanians, and now we also have this information, and soon Romanians will be able to pick up these pills from pharmacies.

"When picking up from the pharmacy, the patient or, as the case may be, the relative signs the Patient Agreement regarding administering potassium iodide treatment 65 mg tablets, provided in annex no. 3. The signed agreement it is kept in the pharmacy together with the original form of the medical prescription issued by the family doctor. 

Family doctors prescribe only once potassium iodide 65 mg tablets to eligible patients in their own records, as well as eligible patients who do not family doctor, using the PRF simple prescription form. For the minor patient, respectively for the patient without discernment, the family doctor issues to the representative legally his medical prescription in the name of the patient minor, respectively of the indiscernible patient.

People who do not have a family doctor, respectively the legal representatives of minors or persons deprived of discernment who do not have a family doctor can present themselves at any family doctor's office and complete, in view obtaining the prescription, the prescribed affidavit in annex no. 4, in front of the family doctor.

In the case of losing the medical prescription, the doctor of the family issues a duplicate upon the written request of the patient in whose name the first medical prescription was issued or of the legal representative, in the case of the minor or absent patient discernment, as the case may be, stating it distinctly on the form "duplicate". The provisions of this order also apply to patients foreigners and stateless persons who, according to the normative acts in force, have the right to medicines and/or medical services in Romania.

The maximum period of storage of the drug potassium iodide 65 mg tablets in listed pharmacies provided for in art. 1 is 6 months from the date of receipt. At the end of for the period of 6 months, the pharmacies from the list provided for in art. 1 teach through drug distribution companies, to the county and municipal public health departments Bucharest the remaining quantities in stock, as well as the agreements patients."
