DACIA Duster 3: Decision Taken, the SPECIAL Model of the Romanian SUV

DACIA Duster 3 Decision Made The SPECIAL Romanian SUV Model

DACIA Duster 3 is the next generation of SUVs that the Romanian company DACIA wants to launch for customers all over the world, and the information so far indicates major changes for it. We are talking about a DACIA Duster 3 that will come with extremely many changes compared to the models that are currently sold on the markets all over the world, all to generate interest from more people vis-à-vis the Romanian car.

DACIA Duster 3 is to be produced in Europe on the CMF-B platform, already used for years in various car models from Renault, or DACIA, including Logan 3, or Sandero 3. The CMF-B platform will be used for DACIA Duster 3 in developed markets, and somewhat more developed, but in other areas of the globe a separate, apparently new platform, CMF-B LS, will be used, which will be a low-cost version of the main platform, but only for certain markets.

DACIA Duster 3: Decision Taken, the SPECIAL Model of the Romanian SUV

DACIA Duster 3 would be manufactured based on this CMF-B LS platform for sale in India, and most likely countries in South America, or Africa, where car prices must be as low as possible. What kind of changes could be made for this platform for DACIA Duster 3 compared to what exists now is not known, but it is clear that there will be novelties designed to substantially reduce the production cost for the car that will be sold.

DACIA Duster 3 is a low-cost car, in which a lot of low-cost materials and equipment are used, so the CMF-B LS platform should have fewer equipment on the technological side, and not only, compared to the standard model. How big the changes will be between the Romanian model of the DACIA Duster 3, and the one sold with the CMF-B LS platform, we will find out only after they are launched, but they are not giving up on hybridization, so from this point of view there is no differences.

DACIA Duster 3 will most likely be presented in the fall of 2023, maybe somewhere around September, but the launch should take place in the first part of 2024, maybe in the spring.
