The Romanian Government Approved the Suspension of Payment of Bank Installments for 9 Months

The Romanian government officially announced today a measure that many people have been waiting for for a long time, namely the decision to allow the suspension of bank installments for a period of up to 9 months, both by individuals, as well as by the legal ones.

The measure was announced by the Government some time ago, but it is only now being implemented for Romanians throughout the country, and below you have some details about what this actually means for our country.

Prime Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă: We are continuing the measures for the implementation of the "Support for Romania" program.

We have approved the suspension of the payment of bank installments for a period of up to 9 months to offer this option to individuals and businesses who, due to rising prices and the economic situation, have difficulty paying their bank installments.

A set of solutions adopted today also provides support for young families, students, pupils and children in the care of the state. I hope that as many young people as possible benefit from the favorable financing conditions to continue their studies and to have the best possible start when they decide to start a family.

At the same time, we are extending the application of the IMM Invest Plus Program to continue supporting SMEs operating in the field of digitization, research and innovation, as well as the establishment of start-ups.

We respect our commitment and stay with Romanian entrepreneurs even in difficult moments.
