Belarus stated, through the voice of the dictator Alexander Lukashenko, that it does not have an active role in the war in Ukraine in favor of Russia, but that it passively helps the country by offering its territory for the transport of troops, weapons, ammunition, but also launching ground attacks, or by air, against the invaded country, and he will not give up this idea.
Lukashenko says that Belarus and Russia are "practically united" within the "Unionist State", a supranational organization of which the two countries are a part, but nevertheless, attacking Ukraine is not something that the Belarusians want to do, despite all the claims to the Ukrainian media about the attack plans.
Belarus was sanctioned in the past by the international community because of the way it treated its citizens, and now it is sanctioned because of the war in Ukraine, but unfortunately these sanctions will continue to come for the help provided to the Russians to attack the Ukrainians.
Belarus is not a direct participant in the full-scale war in Ukraine, but is providing logistical support to Russia's invasion. Belarus also allows Russia to use its territory to launch missiles at Ukraine.
