The coronavirus kept the metropolis of Shanghai in lockdown until July 8, so that people who were identified with the BA.5.2.1 subvariant were tested these very days, and the Chinese authorities claim that she would have come from abroad, but of course that the reality it is very difficult to prove when it comes to this country, the possible source of the pandemic.

The coronavirus is causing very big problems in China, the BA.5 subvariant being one of the causes, some researchers saying that it would be 5 times more contagious than the BA.2 one, and now we find out that separately from the BA.2.7.5 subvariant it also appeared and the BA.5.2.1 one, but it is possible that there are many others that have not yet been discovered.

Many areas of the world are now in full wave 6 of infections generated by the BA.4 and BA.5 variants, but it is very possible to see that the subvariants discovered in China, and not only, could generate even more infections, important being so that they are not more dangerous than those that exist at the moment.
