Coronavirus Romania New Number of New Cases July 14, 2022

The coronavirus continues to spread in Romania, the number of new daily infections reported by the authorities being high, as we were warned by them just a few days ago, and things are not heading for an improvement of the situation, at least not for now , new increases are expected in the next period.

The coronavirus generates a doubling of the figures regarding new cases from one week to the next, this week starting with 4.000 new cases confirmed in just 24 hours, and continuing with almost 4.000 announced yesterday, but it is expected that this trend will not change much soon, unfortunately for us.

The coronavirus generates a lot of new cases not only in Romania, but also in other western countries, and this is because we are talking about highly contagious variants called BA.4 and BA.5, which have been discovered in many countries around the world, and unfortunately there are and another called BA.2.75, with the code name Centaurus, generating even more concern.

"In the last 24 hours, 3.993 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, 216 more than the previous day. 802 of the new cases in 24 hours are of reinfected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection.

Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 144 people were reconfirmed positive. In specialized health units, the number of people hospitalized in wards with COVID-19 is 1.547, 105 more than the previous day. Also, 99 people are hospitalized at ATI, 12 more than the previous day. Of the 99 patients admitted to ATI, 74 are unvaccinated.

Out of the total number of admitted patients, 237 are minors, all of them admitted to wards, with 39 more than the previous day and 0 in ATI, the same as the previous day. Until today, 65.802 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

In the interval 13.07.2022 (10:00) – 14.07.2022 (10:00) 1 death (female) was reported by the INSP, with no deaths reported before the reference interval. The death was registered in the 70-79 age category. The patient had comorbidities and was unvaccinated."
