Russia is launching attacks against Ukraine with heavy weapons from Europe's largest nuclear power plant, the situation in Zaporozhye, on the territory it has occupied for the last 5 months, and the situation is starting to become even more serious because the Russians have recently brought more heavy weapons in location to launch new attacks.
According to the Ukrainian government agency that monitors nuclear activity in the country, Energoatom, the heavy weapons that Russia took to Zaporozhye are located near flammable equipment, so there is always a risk that an explosion could occur near the nuclear reactors that should safe from such threats.
You probably remember that Russia sent its soldiers through the most irradiated forest in Europe, near Chernobyl, at the beginning of the war, then leaving that area, but now the Russian military also seems to ignore the rules regarding protection against radiation exposure, all to launch attacks from an area that Ukraine cannot attack.
The Russian weapons are now close to highly flammable substances contained in the plant's equipment, Energoatom said. "The occupiers continue to cynically violate all norms and requirements regarding fire, nuclear, and radiation safety" at the nuclear plant, the company said.
