The Minister of Health has confirmed for millions of Romanians a series of decisions of national importance that will be implemented and will have an impact throughout the country, and this is because investments will be made in ambulatory medical care units and pre-hospital integrated community centers.

The Minister of Health explains below the purpose of the investments that will be made in Romania, as the guidelines for their financing have been published, so that theoretically we should see these investments made sooner, rather than later, for the benefit of all Romanians in our country .

"The Ministry launched in public consultation today, the Applicant's Guide for the selection of at least 30 Ambulatory Healthcare Units through an open call related to Component 12 - Health, Investment 1. Development of pre-hospital medical infrastructure, Specific Investment 1.3 Ambulatory Healthcare Units . At least 30 ambulatory clinics/public medical units or public structures that provide ambulatory medical assistance will be able to be rehabilitated, modernized, expanded and equipped with medical equipment, within the National Rehabilitation and Resilience Program (PNRR).

Most of the outpatient clinics (at least 20) will be located in less developed regions or municipalities where the GDP/capita is lower than 75% of the EU-27 average (according to the EU definition). €80.200.000 is allocated for the investment in specialty clinics. The minimum non-refundable value of the financing allocated per project is 500.000 euros without VAT, and the maximum non-refundable value of the financing allocated per project is 2,673 million euros without VAT.

The launch date of the call for projects is September 30, 2022. More information can be found on the website of the Ministry of Health www.ms.ro, News section. A number of 200 integrated community centers will be built/rehabilitated/modernized/extended and/or equipped under the National Rehabilitation and Resilience Program (PNRR). The main purpose of integrated community centers is to increase access to quality medical services for the population and, in particular, for vulnerable groups.

The investment has a total budget of €40.200.000. 70% of the budget (over €28.000.000) will represent a financial grant available to the 200 preselected beneficiaries for new constructions or renovations. The remaining 30% (a little over €12.000.000) involves the selection of positions of interest to the beneficiary from a list of equipment and facilities.

A project's budget will be composed of: Equipment and supplies selected from a predefined list with a maximum value of €60.300; Financial grant available to the beneficiary for the construction or renovation of Integrated Community Centers in the amount of €140.700; The opening date of the platform for uploading files is September 30, 2022."
