Coronavirus Romania New Number of New Cases July 30, 2022

The coronavirus in Romania continues to spread during this period, and this is because we are still talking about large numbers reported by the authorities, and this in the conditions where, unfortunately, there are no longer any measures to prevent the spread of the virus in communities throughout the country, in the middle of the hot summer.

The coronavirus is transmitted very intensively in the middle of summer because of the BA.5 variant, which is much more transmissible compared to previous versions, and this is because the virus evolves as it remains active in communities around the world and is transmitted without protective barriers, and this means that it could continue to evolve.

In recent weeks, the coronavirus has generated multiple increases in daily infections, and this situation is not expected to change soon, and this is because the authorities estimate that the 6th wave would reach its peak sometime in the following weeks, with averages of over 10.000 new daily cases registered in Romania.

"In the last 24 hours, 7.532 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) were registered, with 1.299 less than the previous day.

1.469 of the new cases in 24 hours are of reinfected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection.

Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 303 people were
positively reconfirmed.

In specialized health units, the number of people hospitalized in wards with COVID-19 is 3.760, 3 more than the previous day. Also, 254 people are hospitalized at ATI, 12 less than the previous day. Of the 254 patients admitted to ATI, 221 are unvaccinated.

Out of the total number of admitted patients, 565 are minors, 561 being admitted to wards, 25 less than the previous day and 4 in ATI, the same as the previous day."
