The Minister of Education officially announces one of the most important measures that the Government can take for the education system in Romania, and as you can see, we are talking about 965 million LEI to support the reduction of school dropout among students in the country.
The Minister of Education talks below about the debate that took place with the general school inspectors from all over the country in relation to this extremely important project for Romania, one that aims to bring more money to schools to keep students in the banks in the future .
"Over 965 million lei to reduce school dropout & Debate the draft Pre-University Education Law - Educated Romania with the county school inspectorates. We debated today, at the National College "St. Sava" from Bucharest, together with general school inspectors from all over the country, the project of the Pre-University Education Law.
It is important to act in an appropriate manner so that the institutions in the field are prepared for the implementation of the new law and the measures from the "Educated Romania" Project and focus their efforts on the student as the main subject, thus contributing to the reduction dropout and early school leaving rates and ensuring performance increases through a fair balance between equity and performance.
Also today, the implementation agreements were signed between the representatives of the ministry, as the reform coordinator/responsible for Component C15 – Education – PNRR and the representatives of the county school inspectorates, with the aim of implementing the investments specific to the Grant Scheme within the National Reduction Program School Dropout (SG-PNRAS).
Based on the 42 agreements signed today, the county school inspectorates will conclude financing contracts with 1.415 educational units whose projects have been approved. The total amount eligible for round 1 of the PNRAS is 965.360.925,30 lei for the following categories of eligible expenses: expenses for services (maximum 15% of the total amount of the grant).
Salary expenses (maximum 15% of the total amount of the grant); expenses for events and travel (maximum 15% of the total amount of the grant); teacher training expenses (maximum 5% of the total amount of the grant); equipment and software (minimum 20% - maximum 25% of the total amount of the grant). Small expenses for fitting out and furniture (maximum 10% of the total amount of the grant); expenses for other goods and services, including/especially the provision of a meal (maximum 35% of the total amount of the grant); expenses with subsidies, aids, prizes (maximum 10% of the total value of the grant)."
