The Romanian Army completed HIMARS Romania Systems Training

The soldiers of the Romanian Army have started the training program in order to use the HIMARS missile systems, they are carrying out combat firing in Romania with this very advanced military technique which is wreaking havoc among the Russian army troops at the moment on the battle front of the war in Ukraine.

The Romanian Army says that the first firings with the HIMARS systems owned by Romania took place between 8 and 10 June 2022 in the National Air Defense Training Center in Capu Midia, their presence in our country being very important for the defense of the country from any kind of threats.

In the first week of August, the 81st Tactical Missile Battalion "Major Gheorghe Sonțu" carried out training activities in the National Training Center in Cincu.

For the soldiers of the battalion, the culmination of the training was the execution of combat firing with the HIMARS system, a technique entered into the equipment of the 8th ROT Brigade in 2021.

The first firings with the HIMARS systems of the Romanian Army took place in the National Air Defense Training Center in Capu Midia, between June 8-10, 2022.

For Romania, achieving the indirect fire support capability is an essential security interest and contributes significantly both to the consolidation of the strategic partnership with the United States of America and to the fulfillment of the commitments assumed by our country within NATO.
