ECDC Warns Millions of Europeans The Situation Unsettles the World

Just a few hours ago, the ECDC issued a very important official warning for millions of Europeans on the continent, generating anxiety among many people, and this because it confirmed a new large increase in the number of new cases of monkeypox infection , the total number in Europe being higher with almost 2.000 infections.

ECDC tells us that 17.509 cases from 35 countries in the European region have been confirmed in the last week, monkey pox continues to infect mainly men, in men the infection is confirmed in a proportion of 99%, and 40% of them are elderly between 31 and 40 years old, so an active population that travels a lot.

ECDC reiterated in August what was said by the WHO regarding the profile of infected people, with men in the center having sex with other men, and in the percentage of 1% of reported cases that do not represent men, we are talking about women and children who were direct contacts of those infected, so anyone can be infected by this virus.

ECDC still recommends a lot of caution among Europeans in order to avoid as much as possible an infection with monkey pox, but also to avoid infecting other people with whom the infected could come into contact, but it is also necessary for people to understand the danger which this virus represents in Europe.
