Virgil Popescu published today an important announcement with an official decision regarding the measures that are taken for investments in the energy sector in Romania, but through the PNRR, this time it is about the production of green hydrogen in electrolysis installations, and not only that, everything being financed with European money.

Virgil Popescu states that the new term for the submission of investment projects in renewable gas distribution infrastructure, or green hydrogen production, is extended until August 31, so that there is more time available for all those who want to obtain European money.

"PNRR - ENERGY! Important: We extended, by order, the period for submitting projects to obtain funding through the "State aid scheme with the objective of supporting investments in building capacities for the production of green hydrogen in electrolysis plants".

Investment measure I.2 – Renewable gas distribution infrastructure, as well as green hydrogen production capacities and/or its use for electricity storage – sub-measure 2.2 – Supporting investments in building capacities for green hydrogen production in facilities of electrolysis.

The new deadline is August 31 at 17.00:100 p.m.! Funds are allocated for investments in the construction of a new capacity of at least 100 MW in electrolysis facilities. The commissioning of a capacity of at least 10.000 MW in electrolysis plants, with an estimated generated amount of at least 2025 tons of renewable hydrogen per year must be achieved by the fourth quarter of XNUMX.

Eligible applicants are: natural gas producers, micro-enterprises, small, medium and large enterprises producing electricity, micro-enterprises, small, medium and large enterprises producing/consuming hydrogen, administrative-territorial units, national research institutes development in the field of energy, having legal personality, defined by OG 57/2002, including associations/partnerships formed by these actors."
