Joint training with the Canadian military!

In mid-September, the soldiers of the 572 Helicopter Squadron carried out a SAR (Search and Rescue) alert exercise together with the Canadian Air Force partners from the Air Task Force detachment, deployed at the 57 Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base for the execution of the Air Police service Reinforced.

The scenario of the exercise concerned the search and recovery of a catapulted pilot.

The training sequences proceeded with the standard procedures of searching the catapult area, identifying the pilot, administering first aid and transporting him to a medical facility.

The joint exercises ensure both the maintenance of the level of training for the helicopter crew and the search and rescue operators, as well as the improvement of procedures through lessons learned and transfer of experience between the Romanian military and the Canadian partners.
