Belarus has no intention of mobilizing to support Russia in the war in Ukraine, or at least that is what the dictator Alexander Lukasenko made clear, so for now the country remains only "helpful" for the Russians in launching attacks against the Ukrainians, but nothing more than that.
However, Belarus has been regularly conducting military exercises near the borders with Ukraine and Poland for some time, without launching any attack against any of the parties, and such a country has also been spared from many of the sanctions that have been imposed against Russia by the community International.
"There will be no mobilization in Belarus." Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko said his government has no plans to mobilize Belarusians, state-controlled Belta news agency reported on September 23.
However, Belarus regularly holds military exercises to be able to respond to "possible terrorist threats and attacks," Belta reported, citing Lukashenko.
