The European Parliament Supports the Delivery of Ukrainian Tanks, Accelerated Accession

The European Parliament supports the delivery of tanks to Ukraine at the moment, the president of the institution, Roberta Metsola, affirming during this day that any of the countries that will be able to deliver Leopard II tanks will receive reimbursements through the European Peace Facility system, practically encouraging the support of the invaded country.

The European Parliament also supports the initiation of a process of accelerated accession of Ukraine to the European Union, something that of course not all countries support at the moment, so the chances of this happening in reality are quite small, but this is not a surprise for someone, in the end.

"The EU should give Ukraine more tanks, speed up its accession. EU countries that want to deliver Leopard II tanks to Ukraine will be reimbursed from the European Peace Facility, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola said, according to France 24.

Metsola also called for Ukraine's "accelerated" entry into the EU. "We have a country that has shown us overwhelming intent and desire to join, going above and beyond expectations and meeting goals that would have taken other countries months or years," she said.
