Elon Musk Refuses to Support Ukraine and Demands Payment for Starlink Terminals

Elon Musk has sent, through the company SpaceX, an official request to the Pentagon to cover the operating costs of the Starlink terminals that are used in Ukraine in the middle of the war, and according to American journalists, it would be about 120 million dollars by the end of this year.

SpaceX wants 400 million dollars to cover the operating costs of the Starlink terminals during the next year, and this is because more than 20.000 units were donated to Ukraine, and it seems that Elon Musk does not want to cover their operating costs anymore now.

“Elon Musk's SpaceX Asks Pentagon to Pay for Starlink in Ukraine. CNN reported, citing documents obtained by journalists, that last month Elon Musk's SpaceX sent a letter to the Pentagon saying it could no longer continue to fund Starlink service to Ukraine.

The letter asked the Pentagon to take over funding for Ukraine's use of Starlink, which SpaceX says would cost more than $120 million for the rest of the year and could cost nearly $400 million over the next 12 months. To date, approximately 20.000 Starlink satellite units have been donated to Ukraine, according to CNN.”
