Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, announces that in certain regions of his country it is necessary to limit the supply of electricity due to the bombings that Russia continues to carry out, and this because important elements of the infrastructure were hit by the Russians.
Volodymyr Zelenskiy asks citizens to reduce consumption as much as they can during peak hours so that the network can withstand and there are no more supply interruptions, something that has already been done in Kiev, but it is possible that the same thing is needed in other areas of the country.
"Due to the terror of Russian missiles in some cities and regions of Ukraine, energy workers have to limit the supply of electricity so that the whole system works stably.
But it will be possible to avoid such stabilization interruptions if all of us in Ukraine consciously treat our peak hour consumption. This is a small thing for each person's life - but extremely tangible in the entire energy system.
For example, this Saturday residents of the Chernihiv region limited their electricity consumption by 20 percent. And in general in the country on average – by 10 percent. Kyiv and the region – only by 7 percent.
Please do more – if you get the chance. From 17:00 to 23:00 we must reduce our electricity consumption. This is one step that, along with others, will ensure the failure of Russian terrorist plans.
