Minister of Health: LAST MINUTE Information Brought to the Immediate Attention of Romanians

Minister of Health LAST TIME Information Brought to the Immediate Attention of Romanians

The Minister of Health brings to the attention of millions of Romanians from all over the country one of the most serious problems faced by many hospitals throughout the country at the moment of health, namely the high bills for utilities, but also the lack of medicines and medical equipment.

The Minister of Health speaks below about how strong the impact is felt by medical units due to the substantial increase in the price of utilities, medicines and medical equipment, and for now the solutions are only discussed without being officially adopted by the Government.

"We, and ANMC, can try to do this, in principle we can send the sanitary inspection to see if all the conditions are respected there, and access to health services is provided. We are in a difficult economic period. I remind you that the Government still took some measures to limit the impact on the population.

For example, the payment of bills, I received a notification from the manager of a large emergency shelter in Bucharest that he received 1 million LEI for utilities last month. For the budget of a hospital in Romania, it is a substantial amount. There are difficulties, and this can certainly limit the part that remains for medical services, so you understand what I want to explain.

If the salary expenses are, let's say, 70%, it is the maximum allowed by law, the utilities expenses used to be, let's say, 3% - 5%, and the remaining 25% were medical equipment, medicines, etc., and now the expenses with utilities increase to 15%, surely there is less on the other side. The government takes care of this, it was discussed, I am convinced that all colleagues are aware of this.

They are essential institutions, hospitals, schools, public institutions with a strong social and health character, which cannot be left out. I am having discussions with the president of CNAS to see how we can secure the financial resources, first of all to end this year well, to get through this winter well. I think that at least these areas will not remain uncovered, speaking of financing.

Funding that also allows access to health services, because when the patient goes to a hospital, I imagine that he doesn't go just to stay there, but has to be subjected to investigations and therapies. Whether you are talking about the more or less classical therapeutic part, whether you are talking about surgical interventions, or care, such as the ward... The concrete solution is to see if after these months the expenses of the health units are much too high, to find a solution to compensate the budgets."
