Europe is safe this winter, says the president of the European Commission Ursula Von der Leyen, she affirms that the blackmail that Russia thought against Europe was not successful, so the Europeans managed to secure the necessary natural gas resources for use in the following months.
Ursula Von der Leyen also says that Ukraine must continue to be supported, both this winter and beyond, for whatever period of time it will be necessary to provide aid so that the country can continue to face the attacks that are launched without mercy by Russia every day.
"Russia's blackmail failed. Europe is safe for this winter. But we know our work is not done until families and businesses across the EU have access to energy that is affordable, safe and clean.
The Ukrainian spirit remains unbroken and steadfast. We must help the Ukrainians during the winter and for as long as necessary."
