The people from E.ON Romania explain below the requirements imposed by the law for capping electricity prices, but also the fact that you still need to submit the declaration on your own responsibility to benefit from the capped price in certain locations, but it is possible that this requirement to disappear starting today, if the Romanian Government decides this.

E.ON Romania has on its website all the relevant information regarding what it means to cap electricity prices, so it is worth looking carefully at the data there, and taking the necessary measures to ensure that pay the lowest possible price for what you consume.

From January 1, 2023, you will continue to benefit from a capped final price of 0,68 lei/kWh, with VAT included for electricity if: you use devices, devices or medical equipment necessary to carry out treatments; you have at least 3 children up to the age of 18, respectively 26 years old if they follow a form of education.

You represent a single-parent family and have at least one dependent child up to the age of 18, or 26 if they are in education. If you find yourself in the above situations, it is necessary to submit an affidavit certifying this.
