The WHO has officially issued an extremely serious warning that is causing a lot of concern in the whole world at the moment, and this is because it brings to the attention of many people the fact that they should not underestimate the Omicron version of the Coronavirus, and this is because it still it is very dangerous, unfortunately, and can cause major health problems.
The WHO tells us, through the voice of director Maria Van Kerkhove, that despite everything that people "hear" during this period, the Omicron version of the Coronavirus is still dangerous, and can cause severe cases of illness, deaths, and of course it can continue to be modified so that even more dangerous subvariants, or new variants, appear.
The WHO continues to ask us to do everything we can to avoid a possible infection during this period, and this is because no one knows how the disease could evolve, the Coronavirus being still unpredictable, even if the authorities are convinced that the Omicron variant generates forms mild illness, this does not always happen.
The WHO still recommends people to get vaccinated, and to wear a mask in crowded indoor spaces, and this is because the Omicron variant, together with all its subvariants, is extremely contagious, and can at any time generate serious forms of the disease that could require including hospital treatment, so it's good to protect yourself.
