Turkey Announces RADICAL Decision Against Sweden Taken by Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Turkey is blocking Sweden's accession to NATO, the official decision being revealed by the country's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who attributed it to recent protests that took place recently in the capital Stockholm, where various people burned a copy of the Koran, and they hanged a mannequin representing the Turkish president, generating a major diplomatic scandal.

Sweden needed Turkey's vote to be allowed to join NATO, and the Turks took advantage of this to demand the extradition of some citizens who were considered traitors to the regime in Ankara, but this did not happen as expected desired by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the new events brought this radical response from the Turkish president.

Turkey has stated several times that it is willing to allow Sweden to join NATO, but only if it respects its requests regarding the extradition of its citizens, but these procedures did not take place automatically, but followed the course of justice, and for the government in Ankara this meant a series of refusals, which, combined with these events, blocked the accession to NATO.

"Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said #Sweden may not count on Ankara's support for joining #NATO after protests in Stockholm where activists burned the Koran and hanged Erdogan's dummy.

"Those who allowed such an outrage to be committed in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm should not expect any favors from us. If Sweden does not respect Turkey and the religious feelings of Muslims, it will not receive any support from us in terms of NATO membership," Erdogan said.
