Russia says that the most recent decision taken by Germany, and several other countries that are part of both the European Union and NATO, is an extremely dangerous one, regarding the fact that Leopard 2 tanks are to be sent to Ukraine to it gives Ukrainians real chances to defend themselves.
Russia is not the first to make threats of this kind vis-à-vis the way the war in Ukraine is being conducted, or the sending of somewhat more modern weapons, but it remains to be seen how much of a difference the Leopard 2 tanks will make, and this is because the tanks entered the equipment of the German army in 1979, so it is not exactly the last generation.
