New Sanctions Against Russia Announced by Volodymyr Zelensky

Volodymyr Zelenski announced a series of new sanctions against Russia, which came into force yesterday, and this time we are not only talking about those targeting oil, but also some targeting the country's nuclear industry.

Volodymyr Zelensky says that other sanctions against Russia will follow, apart from those that should greatly affect the country's nuclear industry, and that will perhaps reduce its ability to launch attacks against Ukraine.

"Today we have another step of sanctions from our country against the terrorist state. NSDC's decision on sanctions against Russia's nuclear industry has been implemented. This is not the last decision regarding this industry of theirs.

The purpose of our steps is also to support the efforts of our diplomats to expand global sanctions on this part of the Russian aggression machine.

Russia is the only country in the world that allows its military to bomb nuclear power plants and use them as cover for bombing. Russian missiles have repeatedly followed trajectories over Ukraine's nuclear facilities.

The terrorist state uses the nuclear industry as one of the elements of external expansion. To put pressure on other states. To create respective threats to the sovereignty of other states.

All of these are reasons enough for Russia's nuclear industry to be subject to global sanctions. And we are working on it with our partners.

Thank you to all who fight for Ukraine! Thanks to everyone who helps me! Glory to Ukraine!"
