Raed Arafat Announces the Sending of a New Rescue Team to Turkey

Raed Arafat, the head of DSU, officially announced the other days that another team of rescuers will be sent to Turkey to help the local authorities save the people who were affected by the earthquakes that hit the country this week, more than 11.000 people losing his life.

Raed Arafat now announces that another team of rescuers will arrive in Turkey to help with the colossal effort made to save the people who are still trapped under the rubble, but together with more equipment.

During the night, the team was prepared, it is the second search-rescue team that is in the process of being certified, but which is prepared and has already participated in international exercises in this field, within the Bucharest Fire Department or, as we say, the Inspectorate for Emergency situations Bucharest-Ilfov.

The team was prepared. We are now talking about a team of 57 people, which includes two officers from DSU, rescuers from Bucharest, from the fire department, includes again, two doctors, two assistants from SMURD Bucharest and includes three dogs with their managers from the society civilians, from the NGO we collaborate with, Clubul Câinilor Utilitari and Salvamontului.

This means that we will now have the first four dogs, plus the three sent today. Plus, we'll have two teams totaling nearly 120 people who will again be working against the clock to save lives there. The people have already left with the first two planes made available by the Air Force, followed by two planes from Pápa Base, NATO planes, at the request of the Ministry of Defense and which are already at Base 90, to transport the equipment.

Now I have confirmation that they are already loaded and will soon leave for Adana as well. They will make a shorter time than our planes, being high-speed planes, and there they will take over our personnel, the equipment - which consists of cars as well - they will start setting up the base of operations and start the actions there.
